Parabolanis a potent injectable anabolic steroid that was first developed in the late 1960's. Medically Parabolan was used to treat those suffering from wasting and malnutrition. It also saw some use in treating osteoporosis and building muscle mass in some elderly. It has an unusual history as it is the only Trenbolone preparation approved for human consumption after which it was officially discontinued. This has provided Parabolan with a legendary mystique as a wonder drug. Production has recently begun, however, in underground labs.
Parabolan is popular amongst the bodybuilding community because it lacks aromatase (estrogen producing) effects and so it does not come with the risk for high blood pressure, or water retention which can hide muscles. Parabolan is often employed before contests to increase muscle definition and raw strength. Another reason is that it further directs nutrients to the muscles rather than fat tissue, thus building muscle more quickly. This results in an increase of somatomedin that is naturally produced in the muscles and is very anabolic in and of itself. Parabolan results in quality muscles and little water retention thus making it ideal for cutting.
Thanks to the esters involved Parabolan is gradually released into the body over a two week period. This makes the need for injections less frequent and more manageable. Advised dosages for men are between 300-500 mgs per week. Women are not advised to use Parabolan as it is a potent injectable and this makes monitoring and controlling hormone levels difficult. Parabolan is up to five times stronger than testosterone. In fact, testosterone is a popular choice for stacking with Parabolan as it will prevent sexual dysfunction while on the drug. Due to its potency, supplements are strongly advised to prevent side effects. Users should also take Lertrozole (to lower progesterone levels) at .25-.5 mgs per day and T3 (to lower prolactin levels) at 25 mcgs per day.
Parabolan's side effects can include body hair growth, acne, oily skin, testosterone suppression, aggressiveness, sexual dysfunction, insomnia, male pattern hair loss, and intense coughing fits. Parabolan may still cause gynecomastia due to its progesterone effects which may affect those who are very sensitive. Many of these side effects can be controlled and avoided with proper supplements. Parabolan should not be used in conjunction with products that cause aromatization. Women, who are not advised to take Parabolan, would be at risk of masculinization, such as a deepening in their voice, body and facial hair growth, menstrual irregularities, and clitoris enlargement. If these side effects present themselves, discontinue use of Parabolan immediately or else the changes may become permanent.
